Biography

Baruk is the Founder and Managing Director of Oakland Partners, a London based M&A and Corporate Finance Boutique focusing on High Tech transactions with a presence in Paris, Madrid and Tel-Aviv.

Baruk has over 16 years of international M&A advisory experience and a very strong track record of technology transactions, including exits in both Europe and Israeli companies to US acquirers.

Prior to Oakland, Baruk was SVP M&A at ICON Corporate Finance in London, also Partner at Vadis Ventures in Paris and Venture Partner at Fidelity Ventures in London and Boston.

Baruk was the Head of Corporate M&A and Investments at Cisco Systems in Europe, where he was involved in more than 20 transactions totalling over $700m. Baruk was also managing Cisco’s fund of fund investments in Index ventures,

Viventures and Kiwi Ventures.

Prior to Cisco, Baruk was Manager in the EMEA Telecommunications group at Oracle Corporation where he was responsible for Network Manufacturers and Telcos and Oracle’s go-to-market strategies for new technologies such as Mobile

Wireless.

Baruk has key relationships with both global acquirers of technology companies and long standing relationships with IT giants: IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Google, Intel, ARM, Qualcomm, Symantec, Salesforce.com, HP, Amazon, Facebook,

Apple, RIM, NEC, Rakuten, Samsung and many others.

Baruk has co-invested and made transactions with top VCs and Strategic such as Mangrove Capital Partners, Index ventures, General Atlantic, Vertex, Morgan Stanley, Partech, Wellington, Atlas Ventures, Intel, IBM, Gemini, Sequoia, Xange…

Enrique has over 15 years of International Entrepreneurship, Fund Raising in the US and Europe and M&A.

Enrique has key relationships with both global acquirers of technology companies and relationships with IT giants: IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Google, Intel, NEC, Santander, BBVA, Telefonica, HP, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, RIM, NEC, Rakuten, Samsung and many others.

Enrique industries expertise are: Fintech, Mobile/Wireless, Cloud, Enterprise Software and SaaS, Storage and Communications Networks.

Prior to Oakland, Enrique was the founder of Dialcom Networks funded by Mangrove Capital Partners (Skype), Gini Capital and Draper Investments (San Francisco). Dialcom Networks was sold to ClearOne Inc (NASDAQ CLRO).

Prior to founding Dialcom, Enrique co-founded Dinatec Systems, an Internet Protocol Telephone software vendor in 1998. Dinatec Systems was sold to Netfinger Internet Business Factory in 2000. Among other ventures, Enrique co-founded Ola Internet, the first Spanish IP Telephony operator.

Prior to being an entrepreneur, Enrique worked at DWS Wealth Management and at Reuters, as their Fixed Income Marketing Manager. He previously served on the Board of Directors for Ola Internet and Netfinger IBF.

Enrique has a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Business Administration from University of Barcelona, a Master Degree in Financial Markets from the Applied Finances School of Madrid.

Enrique is fluent in English and Spanish.
